The Volksbank Innovation Award 2014 was presented for the sixth time on Thursday, 26 February 2015. The award recognises creative ideas and sustainable concepts in the categories of industry, skilled trades and services.
In the “Industry” category, Clausthaler Verfahrens- und Energietechnik GmbH impressed the judges with its process for load-dependent volume flow adjustment (LAVA). The jury was particularly struck by the energy savings potential and by the fact that the process had already been successfully implemented in practice.
The jury scored each of the following selection criteria from 0 to 5 points, with each category carrying a weighting factor of 1 to 3:
