CVET Presents an Innovative Solution for Defossilised Thermal Oxidation

At the 8th VDI conference Emissionsminderung 2026 in Mannheim, CVET GmbH presented the latest results from the development of a forward-looking technology for thermal oxidation.
Managing Director Lukasz Piech presented the results of the joint project with Dr.-Ing. Sergej Belik (Philectrify GmbH) and Ludger Wahrheit (Wahrheit Anlagenbau GmbH) under the title
“Thermal Oxidation with Electrical Inductive Heat Input – First Results from a Pilot Plant”.
The co-authors were not present in person at the conference.
Within the project, Philectrify GmbH commissioned the pilot plant from Wahrheit Anlagenbau GmbH; CVET GmbH was responsible for the engineering design of this pilot plant as well as for initial commissioning, including the accompanying measurements.

Thermal Oxidation Rethought: No Natural Gas, No Burner
Thermal oxidation faces the challenge of reconciling its high abatement efficiency with the requirements of defossilisation. This is precisely where the approach presented comes in.
Electrical inductive heat input makes it possible to supply the required process heat without natural gas and without a conventional burner. This opens up a new route to fossil-free thermal exhaust air treatment.
The first results from the pilot plant are promising: all required clean gas emission values for total organic carbon (TOC), CO and NOx are below 5 mg/m³.
The results demonstrate the potential of the technology for future thermal oxidation plants and underline CVET GmbH’s path towards innovative, electrified and defossilised solutions for industrial exhaust air treatment.
